SkyBridge is a global alternative investments firm specializing in multi-strategy commingled fund of hedge funds products, custom separate account portfolios and hedge fund advisory solutions to address the needs of a wide range of market participants ranging from individual accredited investors to large institutions. SkyBridge also manages a Real Estate Investment Trust, the SkyBridge Opportunity Zone REIT (SOZ REIT).

SkyBridge was founded in 2005 by Anthony Scaramucci. In 2010, the firm acquired the hedge fund solutions group from Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). SkyBridge’s core investment team has now been together for more than 15 years.

Team

The SkyBridge team, led by Anthony Scaramucci, Brett Messing, and Ray Nolte, is organized into four major functions: Investments, Operational Due Diligence/Risk Management, Operations/Finance/Legal and Marketing/Business Development.

Our investments, operational due diligence and risk management teams have managed fund of hedge funds with the same investment process since 2005. SkyBridge’s operational due diligence and risk management teams report directly to the CIO, operating distinct from the investment due diligence process and maintaining veto power over investment due diligence decisions.

Anthony Scaramucci

Founder and

Anthony Scaramucci is Founder and Co-Managing Partner of SkyBridge focusing on marketing and business development. Prior to founding SkyBridge in 2005, Mr. Scaramucci co-founded investment partnership Oscar Capital Management, which was sold to Neuberger Berman, LLC in 2001. Earlier, he was a vice president in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs & Co.In 2016, Mr. Scaramucci was ranked #85 in Worth Magazine’s Power 100: The 100 Most Powerful People in Global Finance. In 2011, he received Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year – New York” Award in the Financial Services category. Anthony is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), vice chair of the Kennedy Center Corporate Fund Board, a board member of both The Brain Tumor Foundation and Business Executives for National Security (BENS), and a Trustee of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation. He was a member of the New York City Financial Services Advisory Committee from 2007 to 2012. He is the author of three books: The Little Book of Hedge Funds, Goodbye Gordon Gekko, and Hopping Over the Rabbit Hole, a 2016 Wall Street Journal best seller. In November 2016, Mr. Scaramucci was named to President-Elect Trump’s 16-person Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee. In June 2017, he was named the Chief Strategy Officer of the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank. He served as the White House Communications Director for a period in July 2017. Mr. Scaramucci received a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Brett S. Messing

Chief Operating Officer

Brett S. Messing is a Partner and the President and Chief Operating Officer of SkyBridge Capital. He began his career at Goldman Sachs where he held various positions including Vice President and Co-Head of the Restricted Stock Group. Thereafter, he was a partner at Oscar Capital Management, which was acquired by Neuberger Berman, LLC. Following the successful integration of the business, Mr. Messing founded GPS Partners, a $2.5 billion hedge fund at its peak, which focused primarily in the energy infrastructure sector. Mr. Messing was the firm’s Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. Thereafter, Mr. Messing worked for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villariagosa as Co-Chief Operating Officer responsible for economic and business policy. Mr. Messing served as a Senior Advisor to Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg at C40 Cities, a joint venture with the Clinton Climate Initiative. Mr. Messing is the Terence M. Considine Visiting Senior Research Fellow in Law, Economics, and Business at Harvard Law School. He is the co-author of The Forewarned Investor and contributed to Learning from the Global Financial Crisis – Creatively, Reliably and Sustainably, a compendium published by Stanford Business School. Mr. Messing received his A.B. from Brown University, magna cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

Raymond Nolte

Senior Partner and
Co-Chief Investment Officer

Ray Nolte is Co-Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of SkyBridge. He is also Chairman of the Manager Selection and Portfolio Allocation Committees. Prior to SkyBridge’s acquisition of the Hedge Fund Management Group of Citigroup Alternative Investment, LLC (CAI) in June 2010, Mr. Nolte served as chief executive officer and chief investment officer of the CAI group as well as chairman of its Investment Committee. Earlier, Mr. Nolte worked at Deutsche Bank, where he served as the global head and CIO of the DB Absolute Return Strategies (ARS) Fund of Funds business, chairman of its investment committee and vice chairman of DB ARS and head of the Single Manager Hedge Fund business. Mr. Nolte started his career at Bankers Trust Company in 1983 and was named head of Global Portfolio Management in 1994. He launched the bank’s Fund of Funds group in 1996. Mr. Nolte earned a B.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University.

Troy A. Gayeski, CFA is a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at SkyBridge.  As Senior Portfolio Manager, Mr. Gayeski oversees the firm’s discretionary portfolios (SkyBridge Multi-Advisor Hedge Fund Portfolios – Series G, SkyBridge G II and Legion Strategies) and institutional separate accounts. A regular speaker and commentator, Mr. Gayeski appears as a frequent guest on various broadcast networks including Bloomberg News and Fox Business Network. Mr. Gayeski’s responsibilities include portfolio management, manager sourcing, research and due diligence across a wide variety of strategies. He oversees the Event Driven and Relative Value Arbitrage strategies. Prior to this, he performed similar duties in the Hedge Fund Management Groups at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI), Bank of America and Yankee Advisers. Mr. Gayeski earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from MIT and is a CFA charterholder.

Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager

Robert W. Duggan, CFA is a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at SkyBridge. Mr. Duggan covers the Directional Equity and Directional Macro strategies and is responsible for portfolio management, manager sourcing and due diligence.  Prior to this, Mr. Duggan performed functions in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Before joining CAI, he was a senior analyst at International Asset Management (IAM), where he was responsible for sourcing and monitoring the firm’s US based hedge fund investments across a broad range of investment strategies. Prior to IAM, Mr. Duggan held research analyst roles at Northern Trust Global Advisors and Alpha Investment Management. Mr. Duggan earned a B.A. in economics from Fordham University and is a CFA charterholder.

Daniel Barile, CFA

Partner, Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment Analyst

Daniel Barile, CFA is a Partner, Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Analyst at SkyBridge Capital. As a Portfolio Manager, Mr. Barile is responsible for oversight of the SkyBridge Opportunity Zone REIT. As a Senior Investment Analyst, Mr. Barile is responsible for manager sourcing, research and due diligence across a wide variety of alternative investment strategies. He is also a member of the Real Estate Investment committee. Prior to joining SkyBridge in June 2010, Mr. Barile was responsible for manager due diligence in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Prior to joining CAI, Mr. Barile covered traditional and alternative asset managers from a variety of perspectives at Fitch Ratings and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock). Mr. Barile received a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance from Binghamton University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.

Abhi Kane

Director, Senior Investment Analyst

Abhi Kane is a Director and Senior Investment Analyst at SkyBridge Capital. His responsibilities include Manager Sourcing, Investment Research, and Due Diligence for a variety of hedge fund strategies. Prior to this, Mr. Kane performed similar functions for the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Prior to joining CAI in 2003, Mr. Kane ran a software consulting company specializing in building complex analytical, trading, and portfolio management systems for American International Group, Bank One, Government Securities Clearing Corporation and Citigroup Asset Management.

Mr. Kane received an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business in 2001 and B.E. in Computer Engineering (with Distinction) from PICT, Pune in 1993. He is also a CAIA charterholder.

Jean Kang

Director, Investment Analyst

Jean Kang is a Director and Investment Analyst covering Directional Macro strategies funds at SkyBridge. Ms. Kang's responsibilities include manager research and due diligence. Prior to joining SkyBridge, she was an analyst covering global macro strategies for the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Additionally, Ms. Kang had also served as an Analyst for Directional Equity strategies and the Operational Due Diligence team for CAI.

Ms. Kang received a B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College, where she graduated with honors.

Marc Sprung

Director, Investment Analyst

Marc Sprung is a Director and Investment Analyst at SkyBridge. From 2007 until SkyBridge’s acquisition of the Hedge Fund Management Group of Citigroup Alternative Investment, LLC (CAI) in June 2010, Mr. Sprung served as a product manager for CAI’s Hedge Fund Partners (HFP), a $550 million vehicle for seeding and launching new hedge funds. Mr. Sprung’s financial services career began in 1994 at Bankers Trust (subsequently Deutsche Bank, following its acquisition of BT), where he worked in product development. Mr. Sprung earned a BA in English from Brooklyn College, and an MBA from Pace University.

Kenneth McDonald

Partner and Co-Head of Operational Due Diligence

Mr. McDonald is a Partner and Co-Head of Hedge Fund Business & Operational Due Diligence at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge, Mr. McDonald served as Managing Director and Head of Hedge Fund Business & Operational Due Diligence at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) for eight years. Prior to transferring to CAI in 2002, he was employed by Citi Global Markets Inc., where he managed the Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk Management Group and the firm’s global counterparty exposures to hedge funds trading with the broker dealer’s equities, fixed income, currencies, commodities and related derivatives desks located in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.  Mr. McDonald joined the Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk Management Group in 1994. Mr. McDonald earned a B.S. from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Boston University.

Steve Lee

Managing Director, Head of Quantitative Research and Risk

Steve Lee is a Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Research and Risk at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, he was the Analyst covering Investment and Portfolio Risk for the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) where he was responsible for the implementation and development of risk measurement and analytical processes for its Fund of Hedge Funds and Hedge Fund seeding products.  Mr. Lee provided performance analytics and reporting, while monitoring fund level risks of underlying managers.  Before joining CAI in 2007, he worked as a Data Analyst for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York.

Mr. Lee received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Virginie Kolesnikov

Managing Director, Co-Head of Hedge Fund and Business Operational Due Diligence

Virginie Kolesnikov is a Managing Director and Co-Head of HF Business & Operational Due Diligence at SkyBridge.  Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, she was a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI), the Fund’s previous investment adviser until July 2010.  Prior to joining CAI in 2002, she was a Vice President in Salomon Smith Barney’s Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk unit. Between 2006 and 2008, she worked in the Hedge Fund Development and Management Group at Merrill Lynch as a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst; she re-joined CAI in May 2008. Mrs. Kolesnikov has 22 years of Hedge Fund Risk Management experience, with the last 16 years focused exclusively on hedge fund operational due diligence.

Mrs. Kolesnikov received an M.B.A. and a B.S.B.A. from the University of Hartford.

William Ho

Director, Quantitative Research and Risk

William Ho is a Director, Quantitative Research and Risk at SkyBridge Capital. Prior to joining SkyBridge in 2013, he was a Business Analyst at FINRA, where he performed data analyses and pattern development for cross-market surveillance. Before joining FINRA, he was a Business Analyst in Citigroup, focusing on strategies and pricing for account acquisitions in credit cards. Mr. Ho received his M.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and his B.E. in Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University.  He is also a CAIA charterholder.

Jason Wright

Jason Wright is a Senior Partner and Global Head of Marketing at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge, Mr. Wright was Managing Director of Business Development at Soleil Securities Group. Earlier, he served as Managing Director at SoundView Ventures from 2000 to 2003.

Rich Lesser

Managing Director

Rich Lesser is a Managing Director at SkyBridge Capital. Mr. Lesser leads all marketing initiatives for New York City and the Midwest for SkyBridge’s institutional and national platform distribution. Prior to joining SkyBridge in April 2012, Mr. Lesser worked for a wealth advisory group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. There he was the primary liaison for new client development and the coordination of the marketing efforts for the group. While at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, his group managed in excess of $1 billion of ultra high net worth individual and institutional assets.

Mr. Lesser received his BS in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Joe Rosano

Managing Director

Joe Rosano is a Managing Director at SkyBridge Capital. Mr. Rosano joined SkyBridge in June 2010 and currently leads marketing initiatives in New England for the firm's institutional and national platform distribution.

Mr. Rosano received his B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.

Hesham Alquraini

Managing Director, SkyBridge UK Limited

Hesham Alquraini is a Managing Director of SkyBridge UK Limited and is responsible for Marketing in the Middle East and Europe.  He has over 20 years of finance experience, including 17 years of alternative investments experience at the Kuwait Investment Office (“KIO”) in London and the Kuwait Investment Authority (“KIA”).  His experience includes board level experience in a range of strategies with specific expertise in hedge funds, buyouts, secondaries, growth, mezzanine, and venture globally.  Specific experience includes privatization, alternative investments and listed equities.  Mr. Alquraini represented KIO on 27 advisory boards for a range of private equity funds and hedge funds as well as company boards.  As Vice President at KIO, he was responsible for directly managing KIO's assets, which included, private equity, hedge funds and direct investments. He was also responsible for managing private equity and hedge fund investments on behalf of other national state funds.

Mr. Alquraini has an international perspective having worked in the both Middle East and UK where he was second in command of the London office of KIO’s Private Equity & Property Group.  Mr. Alquraini managed commitments in billions of dollars in over 100 commitments with PE funds, hedge funds and co- investments. These investments were spread across MENA, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Melissa Gottlieb

Director, Head of Investor Relations

Melissa Gottlieb is a Director and Head of Investor Relations at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in November 2014, Ms. Gottlieb served as a Consultant focused on marketing and investor relations projects at Bloomberg LP, JANA Partners and Atlantic Investment Management. Previously, she was Manager of Marketing and Investor Relations at Sandell Asset Management, an event driven, multi-strategy hedge fund. She began her career in equity portfolio management at The Dreyfus Corporation, and also held an investor relations role at Alpha Investment Management. Ms. Gottlieb received a B.A. in Business Administration and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College.

Robert Phillips

Robert Phillips is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer of SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in 2007, Mr. Phillips served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of two investment management companies: Lucerne Management, LLC and Coventry Capital, LLC. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a publicly held bio-pharmaceutical contract service organization where he was responsible for all finance, accounting, SEC reporting and investor relation functions. Mr. Phillips began his career as an auditor and spent 8 years with BDO Seidman, LLP, a national professional services firm which provides assurance, tax, financial advisory and consulting services to a wide range of publicly traded and privately held companies. Mr. Phillips earned a B.A. in Accounting from Upsala College and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Marie Noble

Chief Compliance Officer

Marie Noble is a Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in November 2010, Ms. Noble was an Associate General Counsel at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI), where she was lead counsel supporting various hedge fund platforms managed by Citi’s registered investment adviser. Ms. Noble joined Citi in 2006 after spending six years practicing corporate law in the New York and London Offices of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, where her primary focus was on domestic and international securities transactions. Ms. Noble is a member of the board of directors of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, a preeminent legal aid organization providing pro bono legal representation to artists, designers and nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. Ms. Noble earned a B.A. Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Bucknell University and a J.D. Cum Laude from Boston University, where she served as Note Editor on the Boston University Law Review.

Christopher Hutt

Partner, Head of Hedge Fund
Administration and Operations

Christopher Hutt is a Partner and the Head of Hedge Fund Administration and Operations at SkyBridge. Mr. Hutt is responsible for managing the operations for the SkyBridge product suite and is also the product manager for the fund of hedge fund products and managed accounts. Prior to joining SkyBridge, Mr. Hutt was Director of Hedge Fund Operations within the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Prior to joining CAI in 2004, he held various product management positions at Morgan Stanley & Co. and JPMorgan Chase over an eight year span. Mr. Hutt received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Cortland.

Eric Alper

Partner, Deputy General Counsel, Head of Tax

Eric Alper is a Partner, Deputy General Counsel and Tax Director at SkyBridge. Mr. Alper, who joined SkyBridge in 2009, focuses on legal, operational and tax issues as well as new product development. Prior to joining SkyBridge, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at U Capital Group, LP, which was one of SkyBridge’s seeded hedge fund managers. Prior to U Capital, Mr. Alper was Chief Financial Officer at Weston Capital Management, Vice President of Hedge Fund Accounting at Ivy Asset Management and Vice President & Tax Counsel at Neuberger Berman. Earlier in his career, he worked for two multi-national corporations and two national public accounting firms specializing in tax law and accounting. Mr. Alper earned a B.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, a J.D. from The Washington College of Law at American University, and a LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Eric is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and attorney with the State of New York.

Vivek Dhayagude

Chief Technology Officer

Vivek Dhayagude joined SkyBridge in August 2015 as Chief Technology Officer after previously serving as a Technology Consultant to the firm for several years.  His 20 years of IT experience includes work as a CTO at Life Analytics (2007-2009), as well as a Systems Architect for Tower Group Insurance (2010-2013) and American International Group (2004-2006).  Earlier in his career, Vivek held positions at Mellon Bank and IntSol Consulting Inc., Canada.  He received a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from University of Pune, India.

Sue Ponce

Chief Administrative Officer

Sue Ponce is Chief Administrative Officer at SkyBridge Capital.  Prior to SkyBridge, Ms. Ponce was the Chief Administrative Officer at Oscar Capital, which was co-founded by Anthony Scaramucci.  In conjunction with Oscar Capital's sale to Neuberger Berman, LLC in 2001, Ms. Ponce remained at Neuberger Berman until 2005, when she left to become one of the founding team members of SkyBridge.  Earlier in her career, Ms. Ponce worked as a Senior Sales Assistant at Goldman Sachs on the Institutional Equities trading floor.

Ms. Ponce received her BA in Economics from SUNY Albany and holds securities licenses Series 7 and 63.

Brahm Pillai

Director, Senior Product Manager

Brahm Pillai is a Director and Senior Product Manager at SkyBridge.  Mr. Pillai is responsible for portfolio operations and trade execution, as well as daily operational management of SkyBridge fund of hedge fund and separate account products for retail and institutional clients.  In addition to his product management role, Mr. Pillai also chairs the SkyBridge Young Leaders Circle (SYLC), which is an organization dedicated to promoting financial and geopolitical leadership among students and graduates.  Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, Mr. Pillai was Vice President and Senior Product Manager at the HFMG within CAI, where he was similarly responsible for all product management activities pertaining to fund of hedge funds and separate accounts.  Before joining CAI in October 2005, Mr. Pillai was a paralegal in the structured finance division of Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP.  Mr. Pillai received an M.B.A. from The Samuel Curtis Johnson School of Business at Cornell University and a B.A. in Business & Media from the Gallatin School at New York University. 

Minna Urrey

Director, Senior Compliance Officer

Minna K. Urrey is the Senior Compliance Officer at SkyBridge Capital, responsible for the development and implementation of compliance programs for SkyBridge’s regulated businesses, anti-money laundering compliance and regulatory reporting.  Prior to joining the firm in February 2007, she was a co-founding officer and Vice President of Global PACT, Inc., an international organization providing grassroots social entrepreneurship and community-building skills training, and was on the staff of the Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates at Rutgers University.

Ms. Urrey graduated from Rutgers College with a B.A. degree, summa cum laude, in political science and women’s and gender studies; she is a member of Beta Kappa, the Cap & Skull Society, an Institute for Women's Leadership Certificate Scholar and an Edward McNall Burns Scholar.  She holds the Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP) designation from the FINRA Institute at Wharton.

King Chan

Director

King Chan is a Director at SkyBridge Capital, where she is responsible for fund accounting operations and financial reporting. Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, she performed the same function in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI).  Before joining CAI in 2005, she had five years of mutual fund accounting, operations, and financial reporting experience at The Bank of New York Mellon and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Ms. Chan received a B.S. in Management with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems from Binghamton University and is a CAIA charterholder.

Marc Zivotovsky

Director, Finance

Marc Zivotovsky is a Director at SkyBridge focusing on the finance and accounting activities of SkyBridge’s management company. Prior to joining SkyBridge in 2015, Marc was a senior accountant at Citrin Cooperman for five years. He has a B.S. in accounting from The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Marc is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the State of New York.
